Jesto Projects Privacy Policy
Last updated: 1 September 2026
This policy explains what information Jesto Projects collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Jesto Projects helps teams plan and run projects — managing projects, tasks, files, comments, and deadlines in one place.
Jesto Projects is part of the Jesto platform. This page covers the data specific to Jesto Projects; our main Jesto Privacy Policy also applies and covers account-level and website data. Where your organisation provides Jesto Projects to you, that organisation decides how the workspace is used and is responsible for the information placed in it — in that case we handle the information on their behalf.
1. Information we collect
Account and profile information
Your name, email address, profile photo, role, and sign-in details (or the basic profile shared by your identity provider when you sign in with SSO).
Project content you create
- Projects, tasks, subtasks, descriptions, checklists, and labels.
- Comments, mentions, and discussion on tasks and projects.
- Deadlines, milestones, priorities, and status updates.
People and assignments
Team members you invite or add, task assignees and watchers, and their roles within a project.
Files and attachments
Documents, images, and other files you or your team upload to projects and tasks.
Activity information
A record of actions taken in the app — such as items created, edited, moved, or completed — along with timestamps, used for activity history, audit trails, and notifications.
Technical information
IP address, browser and device type, and log data collected automatically when you use the app.
2. How we use your information
- Create, organise, and manage projects, tasks, and team collaboration.
- Show activity feeds, reminders, and notifications about assignments and deadlines.
- Maintain history and audit trails so teams can see what changed and when.
- Provide search, reporting, and productivity insights.
- Authenticate users, keep accounts secure, and prevent misuse.
- Respond to support requests and improve the service.
- Meet our legal obligations.
3. Data storage and security
Jesto Projects data is hosted on secure cloud infrastructure (Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services). We protect it with encryption in transit, access controls that limit who can view data, activity logging, and regular security reviews. No system can be guaranteed completely secure, but we work continuously to protect your information.
4. Data sharing and third-party services
We do not sell your information. We share it only in these situations:
- With service providers who help us run the app (such as cloud hosting and email delivery) under written contracts.
- With your identity provider when you choose to sign in using SSO.
- When required by law, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Jesto, our users, or others.
- As part of a merger, acquisition, or similar transaction, with appropriate safeguards.
Within your workspace, project content is visible to the members and administrators your organisation has given access.
| Provider | Purpose | Region |
|---|---|---|
| Microsoft Azure / Entra ID | Hosting and authentication (SSO) | Global |
| Amazon Web Services (SES) | Transactional email delivery | Asia Pacific |
| SendGrid | Transactional email delivery | Global |
5. Cookies and tracking
The Jesto Projects app uses essential cookies to keep you signed in and remember your preferences. Our marketing website uses analytics cookies (such as Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity) to understand how the site is used. You can manage cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect functionality.
6. Data retention
We keep your project information for as long as your account or workspace is active, and for as long as needed to provide the service, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When information is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it. Because your organisation controls its own workspace, it can also export or request deletion of its data.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to certain uses. To make a request, contact support@jesto.ai. If your information was added by your employer or another organisation using Jesto Projects, that organisation controls it — please contact them, and we will help them respond.
8. Account and user responsibilities
- Keep your login details secure and do not share your account.
- Make sure the information you enter is accurate and appropriate.
- Only add information about other people (such as team members or clients) where you are allowed to, and in line with your organisation's policies and applicable law.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you by email or within the app. Your continued use of Jesto Projects after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
